Meet Amy, Founder of The Calm Project
Hello, my name is Amy, I am a Mum to four beautiful children, a Nursery Lead and Family Coach. As an Early Years Teacher I love supporting children and their families and have been doing so for twenty years.
For as long as I can remember I have been passionate about improving Mental Health. Although I have undertaken a wealth of training I have also experienced the vast benefits of many therapeutic interventions that have drastically improved my own wellbeing and now I help others to learn how to lead happier and healthier lives. My training includes a degree in Psychology and Counselling, Level 3 Early Years Educator, Early Years Teacher Status, Diplomas in Holistic Therapy, Diploma in Life Coaching, Certificate in Teen Coaching, Relax Kids training plus much more.
I set up The Calm Project to provide a safe and supportive space to help children, teens and their parents through 1:1 Coaching sessions to learn a range of tools and techniques to help them take charge of their own lives, overcoming barriers and getting to a place where they feel more in control, calmer with improved Mental Wellbeing.
Change only happens in the present moment. The past is already done. The future is just energy and intention.
Coaching for the whole family
Coaching sessions are available 1:1 online anywhere in the world.
First you will book a FREE Consultation and we will decide together if coaching is right for you/your child or teen. If we agree to go ahead sessions begin with a 'Welcome Session' where we get to know all about you/your child or teen. We start to build our client-coach relationship and we find out exactly where you are in life, where you want to be and what may be holding you back.
Then we will put together a personalised coaching plan, tailored exactly to your needs and requirements. We recommend a minimum of 6-8 sessions which can be weekly or fortnightly but it is entirely up to you and we can even put together a package where our contact doesn't end until you are ready.
F.A.Qs
- What is the youngest age you work with? We recommend children be over the age of 6 to work over zoom with us but you know your child best and if they would benefit from online coaching. We can also work with teens and parents of any age!
- What if you don't think we are a good fit? We are not qualified to diagnose or treat mental health disorders. We may feel that your needs would be best met by a licensed mental health practitioner. Sometimes we may be able to work alongside you seeing another proffesional.
- What can you help me with? Coaching can help with a range of things including anxiety, stress management, setting goals, improving confidence and emotional intelligence.
- How long do sessions last? Sessions last 50-60 minutes and can carry on for as long as is needed. Some people may want regular contact, some may find 8 sessions is enough.
